Seuran tarkoituksena on edist\u00e4\u00e4 merenkulun harrastusta, kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 ja yll\u00e4pit\u00e4\u00e4 j\u00e4sentens\u00e4 merenkulun turvallista osaamista. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 hetkell\u00e4 j\u00e4seni\u00e4 seurassa on noin 550. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HNS:n koulutusveneen\u00e4 toimii moottorivene Navis V, jonka kotisatama on Puotilassa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helsingin Navigaatioseuralla on k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n saaritukikohta, Kotiluoto. Kotiluoto sijaitsee Jollaksen edustalla Kallahden sel\u00e4ll\u00e4. Kotiluodossa on seuran j\u00e4senille veneiden kiinnittymist\u00e4 varten kaksi laituria, kiinte\u00e4- ja ponttoonilaituri. Rannasta l\u00f6ytyy my\u00f6s grillausalue sek\u00e4 sauna.
